Winter Time Fishing
- On November 10, 2020
We’ve been super covered up and I admit I have neglected keeping up with my website and social media. But winter time fishing is here, my favorite time of the year. It’s when we have cold nights, leaves are falling off the trees, lakes are dropping for winter pool and water temps are falling. If you’ve not fished this time of year you have know ideal what your missing, enough of that lets talk about what the fishing has been like and what lakes. Lake Chickamuaga has been fishing up in down with the crazy weather we’ve had the past month, but there has been some good Largemouth bass getting caught out of the grass on frogs. It’s just trying to find the perfect day that you have sun and a mild wind. Lake Chatuge and Lake Burton have been fishing about the same, we’ve been catching Spotted bass deep and shallow on a mixture of baits. Dropshot, shaky head, texas rig, jig and swimbaits. most of these fish have been on points, rocky banks and laydowns. Lake Blue Ridge water levels have played alot on the way the fish has been biting there, but mostly the fish have been on rocky banks and long points. Also some fish have been coming off the steep banks and laydowns up the river. Lake Hiwassee and Lake Nantahala both have been fishing good, we’ve been catching fish using dropshot, Ned rig and tube. Remember winter time fish my be the best trip you’ve ever taken or the time of year you catch the biggest fish you’ve ever caught. So give us a call and book your next trip.
