Spring fishing is here, we just had daylight savings time and the days are getting longer. This means TVA will start letting our lakes fill up to summer pool, the water temps will start rising and the fish will be on the move looking for a place to spawn. We should have just had our last major cold front for the year. We’ve been catching fish on sunny days using square bill crankbaits, jerkbaits, shaky heads, and jigs.  I’m trying to target Largemouth bass around pockets and flats or any shallow timber that they might spawn around. I’m targeting the Spotted bass around long points or rocky banks. If you find any baitfish you should start seeing bass chasing them around, there going to feed heavily before they spawn. You may also want to try using swimbaits and A-rig around these areas where there is bait.
