North Georgia Lakes
- On May 5, 2017
What a crazy spring we’ve had in the North Georgia mountains, a lot of rain, high winds, not to mention all the temp changes. I don’t think I’ve been on the North Georgia Lakes this year 3 days straight that the weather has been the same. The last couple of weeks I’ve been on Lake Chickamauga fishing for Largemouth bass, Lake Burton fishing for Spotted bass and Largemouth bass, Lake Chatuge fishing for Spotted bass, and Lake Blue Ridge fishing for Spotted Bass, Smallmouth bass and Walleye. We’ve been catching some fish still around spawning areas and also catching some post spawners around docks and timber. It’s been a variety of baits from jigs, shaky head, tubes, flukes, texas rig and drop shot. The next couple weeks you should start seeing more of a topwater pattern, and fish moving in around brush and out from the spawning areas. Get ready for some pictures of the new 2017 Phoenix 921 Phx bass boat, I pick it up Tuesday. Give us a call and get your trip booked.
