It’s been a busy four days on Lake Chatuge, despite the crazy hot weather we’ve been having. Today was one of those days we’ve been waiting on. We started out this morning the air temp was 65 degrees and naturally after the day before being so hot, it was foggy this morning. But the top water bite has been good all weekend, I’ve been starting my morning out in flats and pockets, throwing a Strike King Sexy Dog. But today when the fog lifted we found the mother load, you will see in the picture below on the graph how they was stacked. I found the Striper and Hybrids stacked out in the mouth of a pocket waiting on the bait fish. They were suspended from 15′ to 20′,  the best bait to throw when there suspended is a 4″ or 51/2″ Strike King Sexy Spoon. We worked on them for a couple of hours and then the sun came out and the Striper and Hybrids left out. Then the Spotted bass and Largemouth bass moved in and started chasing shad and blowing up on top. So we finished our morning out again throwing the sexy dog.
