Lake Chatuge has been fishing good, It did slow down some the later part of the week with the storms we’ve been having. There has been a good top water bite the first couple hours in the morning, I’m throwing a Zara Spook and Strike King sexy dog in pockets and around flats targeting Spotted Bass. Once the sun gets up my go to bait has been a Zoom fluke, There has been a lot of schooling shad throughout the day. There has been some fish being caught on drop shot with a 4.5″ RoboWorm and Zoom trick worm on Texas Rig. With the hot weather and water temps already 82-85 degrees, you need to slow down fishing and I recommend down sizing your fishing line to improve your fish catching.
